4 Annual Themes
Each year, the foundation for THE LE MOYNE WAY programming initiatives are derived and focused on one of the four annual themes which are interwoven within the Ignatian core values. The four-year cyclical process provides a platform that allows each incoming class to experience a deep dive into each theme throughout their college career.
GRATITUDE ATTITUDE
Reflecting on and reframing challenges and setbacks as opportunities for growth
Using reflection, mindfulness and centering practices like the Ignatian Examen
Seeking out the beautiful, positive and good in each day and in all situations
Expressing an "attitude of gratitude" and an appreciation for the gifts and blessings of each day
ALL IN. ALL ONE. ALL DOLPHINS.
Being willing to put needs and goals of the team/department first
Holding self and others accountable for goals, values and commitments
Supporting others in times of desolation and hardship; celebrating and encouraging others in times of success
Creating an atmosphere of love, care, leadership and service to one another
Having the courage to confront tough issues
CHOOSE THE BETTER
Discerning the better course of action in all things; making choices that lead to excellence
Pushing outside of one's comfort zone to aspire for greatness
Accepting accountability and responsibility for your actions
Communicating in a way that respects, motivates and promotes growth and improvement
BE THE CHANGE
Education on Bystander Intervention - hazing, sexual assault, binge drinking and other unhealthy behaviors
Showing a willingness to speak up, stand up and step out for what is right
Exhibiting compassion and respect for others who are less fortunate or who are marginalized - embracing our differences and diversity in both word and action
Assisting the poor in spirit, character, talent or financial resources
Encouraging participation in educational, experiential, service learning and social justice opportunities
